Following on from their success at the recent Senior Trophy contest at the Spring Festival in Blackpool, Roche Brass has announced the appointment of David Johnson as their new Musical Director.
The Cornish band, which was only formed in 2013 came fourth at the event, claiming an automatic promotion place to the Senior Cup at their first attempt.

Band Manager, Richard Hawkey telling 4BR: "We're absolutely delighted that David has accepted the invitation to become our new MD. Once we heard that David was relocating to Cornwall, we had no doubt that he was the man for us.
He added: "Following the success we are thrilled to have secured the services of such an experienced conductor on a full-time basis."

Very good start
In response, David commented; "It's been a very good start. I'm now looking to improve on our performance at the Senior Trophy, and next year, to claim promotion to the Championship Section and take a step closer to the British Open."
