Roberts Bakery Band is currently enjoying a fine period of success on both the contest and concert stage, with their most recent performance taking place at Boarshurst Band Club with Black Dyke flugel star, Zoe Hancock.

Busy period

Brass band fans around the world were able to enjoy the band in action including the Senior Trophy test piece Eric Ball's 'A Kensington Concerto'.

After this weekend's performance the band has a busy period of concert and project work, including a concert with internationally acclaimed soprano vocalist Jessica Thayer.

There is a real buzz about the band at the present time and we hope our performances at Boarshurst, Blackpool this weekend and our high profile concert and projects will encourage like minded players to come and join usPLC

Real buzz

Band MD Paul Lovatt-Cooper told 4BR: "There is a real buzz about the band at the present time and we hope our performances at Boarshurst, Blackpool this weekend and our high profile concert and projects will encourage like minded players to come and join us."
