National Youth ready to showcase 66th anniversary talent

The National Youth Band of Great Britain will be showcasing its latest generation of music talent under Bramwell Tovey this weekend.

  Bramwell Tovey will be leading the talented youngsters in their two concerts this weekend.

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain is currently rehearsing at Taunton School in Somerset on its 2018 Easter Course.

Once again the band will be led by Artistic Director Bramwell Tovey, Music Director of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra, whilst the guest soloist is Black Dyke cornet star Richard Marshall.

Tutors

The youngsters are being put through their paces by tutors that include Mark Wilkinson, Lucy Cutt, Owen Farr, Katrina Marzella, Christopher Jeans, Les Neish, Mark Landon and John Maines, with the 66th anniversary course rounded off with a brace of concerts at Cheltenham Town Hall on Friday 6th April (7.30pm) and at Wells Cathedral on Saturday 7th April (7.00pm).
