If you want a sneak preview of the works in the Fourth, Third, First and Championship Section ahead of the scottish Championship then head to Whitburn on March 9th.

  The Scottish Champion will lround off the evening of test-piece previews

The defending Scottish Champion Whitburn will host an open rehearsal ahed of the Scottish Championship in Perth that will feature band from four of the five competitive sections.

The free event will begin at 7.00pm on Friday, March 9th in the band's Whitburn Academy in their home town.

Whitburn Heartlands Band under conductor Iain Fleming performing and rehearsing 'World Tour' by Rodney Newton.

Third Section:


Langholm Town led by Chris Shanks performing and rehearsing 'Napoleon on the Alps' by Philip Harper.

First Section:


Dunaskin Doon directed by Chris Bradley performing and rehearsing 'Brass Metamorphosis' by James Curnow.

Championship Section:


Whitburn Band conducted by Prof Nicholas Childs performing and rehearsing 'Odyssey' by Kevin Norbury.
