Foden's, the defending North West Regional Champion, recently held their annual Patrons Concert at a packed Sandbach School.

The band hopes to claim a hat-trick of Area victories at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool this weekend, and gave a sneak preview of the set-work 'Odyssey' as well as providing over 500 supporters with a musical thank-you for their continued support.

Warmly received

Now in its 31st year, the Patrons' Society enjoyed solos from Mark Wilkinson, Gary Curtin, Mel Whyle and John Barber as well as other popular favourites under MD Michael Fowles, whilst Prof Nicholas Childs led the rendition of the Area test-piece on a warmly received return to the event.

During the evening the band made its annual awards — with the 'Bandsperson of the Year' going to John Barber and Gary Curtin presented with the 'Player of the Year' accolade4BR
