Easington Colliery Band will be linking up with Philip Cobb, Principal Trumpet of the London Symphony Orchestra later this month for a concert at the beautiful Sunderland Minster.

Huge name

Band Manager Peter Lawson told 4BR: "We are delighted to have secured the guest appearance of such a huge name in the music world.

Philip is not only a tremendous trumpet player, having featured on many movie soundtracks, but is also a fantastically sublime cornet player from his Salvation Army background with Hendon and the International Staff Band."
