  Kate received the picture from the Brass in Concert team

The organisers of the Brass in Concert Championship have made an award to one of the fantastic supporters at The Sage Gateshead own following one of their recent planning meetings.

Top class performance

For the past eight years Kate Kyle has been the Performance Programme Manager and the principal point of contact for the event at the world class concert hall facilities on the banks of the River Tyne.

Brass in Concert Chairman John Woods told 4BR: "Kate's help, enthusiasm and drive have been an essential part of the growing success of the event, helping us introduce new elements to our schedule. We wish her every success in a new role a little closer to home in Cumbria."

In the audience

He added: "Kate will be attending Brass in Concert this year and will be enjoying the atmosphere and music rather than anticipating the needs of audiences, conductors, players and the BiC team!"

Kate was presented with a specially commissioned picture the iconic concert hall, incorporating brass players and logos of Sage Gateshead and Brass in Concert.
