Brighouse & Rastrick will join the singing star on her tour

Newly crowned National Champion Brighouse & Rastrick has announced an exciting musical partnership with acclaimed singer and comedienne Liza Pulman.

Also known for being part of the much loved comedy trio 'Fascinating Aida', Liza has released her latest single 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers' in a double A-side with 'The Way We Were' alongside the West Riding band.

'You Don't Bring Me Flowers' was originally written and performed by Neil Diamond, before being covered by the likes of Barbra Streisand and eventually becoming a duet between the two stars.

Anticipated release

The special arrangements made with Joseph Atkins have now been reworked to include brass band accompaniment, and as Liza grew up in Brighouse the band was the perfect choice for the much anticipated release.

Concerts featuring Liza and the band are now being scheduled for spring next year, with the star saying: "It's a joy to sing with Brighouse & Rastrick Band. The warmth of their sound wraps itself around you like a big cashmere scarf on a cold northern day."

She simply wowed everyone on her visits to us, and added to our recent success in London, this shows that the band is entering one of the most exciting periods in its long and proud historyB&R Band
