Upgrade delight for fleet-footed winner

We had a great response to our Yamaha ticket offer at the Albert Hall — with Hugh Stephenson showing off his accelerando technique to ensure he got there first...

Hugh Stephenson was the first person to make to the Yamaha trade stand to pick up his tickets

The National Finals experience was certainly made even more memorable for one lucky brass band lover on the weekend, as Hugh Stephenson, Regional Chairman of the North of England Championships and a Vice President of Spennymoor Town Band was the winner of the Yamaha ticket offer through 4BR.

Four box tickets

Hugh was the first person to make his way to the Yamaha trade stand at the Royal Albert Hall, armed with his souvenir programme of the event — and was delighted to receive the four tickets for seats in a loggia box from Jeremy Smith, Product Specialist — Band & Orchestral of Yamaha Music Europe GmbH (UK)

Fantastic experience

Hugh told 4BR: "It was a prize not to miss out on and as a result I had a great weekend. It was a fantastic experience in the loggia box, especially as it meant I could also be joined by friends from the North East to support our local bands.

Yamaha and 4BR made five North of England bandsmen very happy!"

Delighted to support

Meanwhile, Jeremy Smith, added: "We were delighted to be able to support the National Championships and some great brass band lovers in this way.

We had a fantastic response — but Hugh was the first person to get to us almost as soon as the doors to the hall were open!"
