Thoresby duo enjoy Gallery Love Story of their own

There was one result that nobody could better at the Royal Albert Hall on the weekend — as Howard Snell's 'Love Story' came to life...

Thoresby
What a sparkler! Julie shows off the best prize she could have wished for on the weekend.

Whilst some bands enjoyed their communal results success at the Royal Albert Hall on the weekend, two members of Thoresby Colliery Band took inspiration from Howard Snell's wonderful test piece to celebrate their own love story.

Proposed

As soon as the final note had rang out into the hall, EEb tuba player Eddie Anguish put down his instrument and proposed to his partner and cornet player Julie Edwards on stage in front of a delighted audience.

Thankfully, Julie said yes to Eddie and their personal 'Love Story' was sealed in the best way possible.

Julie and Eddie are such a part of Thoresby's big family and we are over the moon at the news of their engagement which by all accounts Eddie had been thinking about doing during our rehearsal preparationsThoresby Colliery Band

Happiness

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "Julie and Eddie are such a part of Thoresby's big family and we are over the moon at the news of their engagement which by all accounts Eddie had been thinking about doing during our rehearsal preparations.

We wish them all the happiness for the coming years ahead as it was a wonderful result on the day for them both!"
