Foden's solo contest draws made

The draws have been made for one of the most significant solo and quartet contests in the country — with time for a few more quartets to take part.

Foden's
The signs and draws are out for the forthcoming Foden's Solo & Quartet contest

The draw has now taken place for the forthcoming Foden's Solo Contest, which takes place on Sunday 29th October.

As in previous years the contest has attracted a large number of entries across the various sections.

Looking forward

Contest coordinator, Fiona Rolfe told 4BR: "Once again we are looking forward to hosting our annual solo contest with players travelling from all over the world to compete.

There has been a lot of interest in the contest which has attracted players of various ages — our youngest competitor being only 5 years of age."

Quartet entries needed

Fiona added: "Sadly, we have only received a small number of quartet entries and due to this are putting out an appeal to any quartets who would like to enter.

The closing date for all other sections has now passed but we are extending the deadline for quartets to the 24th October."
