Eccles Borough Band has announced the appointment of Peter McDonough as their new principal euphonium.

Having started out in the Cardiff County youth bands, Peter went on to play with Tongwynlais Band.

He is currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and has recently enjoyed stints with the likes of Markham & District and Wingates.

Peter is currently the principal euphonium player of the National Youth Band as well as the National Wind Orchestra of Wales and was principal euphonium of the European Youth Band in Ostende earlier this year.

Outgoing

Peter replaces our outgoing principal euphonium, Melvin Tay, who has spent over three years with the band during his studies in Manchester.
