Schedule changes for North of England Area

There has been a change in the contest day schedules for the 2018 North of England Area Championships.

The 2018 North of England Regional Championships take place at Durham's Gala Theatre.

The North of England Regional Brass Band Championships has announced that they have suspended their normal rotation of sections at the Area Championship event for 2018.

More effective

Regional Secretary, Tony Griffiths told 4BR: "In order to make use of maximum use of the existing booking of the Gala Theatre, we have decided to suspend the normal rotation of sections.

I understand that some bands may have planned their weekend using the original rotation formula, but the new running order is using all our resources more effectively."

It is understood that all competing bands have been informed of the decision.

Running order:

Saturday 17th March 2018:
Fourth Section, followed by First and Second Sections.

Sunday 18th March 2018:
Third Section followed by Championship Section.
