Wantage invests in university education

Wantage Band starts a long term musical partnership with the students of Oxford University Brass Band

Wantage
Wantage hopes there will be lasting benefits with their university link

The Wantage Band will team up with the students players of Oxford University Brass Band this weekend for the first of what is hoped will be a long term series of beneficial joint rehearsals.

Strong collaborative links

MDs Paul Holland and Myrddin Rees Davies will lead an evening of playing on Sunday 15th October with the aim of developing strong collaborative links between the organisations.

Wantage Band Manager, Sam Wyne told 4BR: "We've been keen to develop something like this for quite some time now and we are delighted that Myrddin is just as keen as we are.

The benefits to both organisations are obvious and we feel this is another example of innovative partnership building that can be further developed."
