Samantha Harrison, the highly respected former conductor and now player performer with Elland Silver Band, has been appointed as a fifth member of the Kapitol Promotions Music Panel which selects the test-pieces for the National Finals and Regional Championships of Great Britain.

Announcing the appointment, Kapitol's Philip Morris told 4BR: "Samantha's all round musical experience at all levels will be a tremendous asset."

In return Samantha said: "I'm delighted to have been invited to join the panel. I see this as a great opportunity to use my knowledge and experience of working with young players and grassroots banding to influence the music chosen."
