Bradwell Silver Band recently teamed up with the ladies from Boobs & Brass to provide a wonderful concert that raised over £4,200 for the Breast Cancer Now Charity.
With the generous support of local businesses that figure is set to increase further as additional donations are accounted for, with the final cheque to be presented at a later date to Boobs & Brass representative Margaret Betts.
Chelsea pensioners
Over 70 performers took to the stage, whilst the audience was boosted by the pensioners of The Royal Chelsea Hospital in their full regalia. Bradwell has a close link with the hospital and has entertained in its grounds on a number of occasions.
Earlier in the day a free Youth Masterclass supported by Yamaha Musical Instruments saw over 50 young brass and percussion players, aged 6 to 18 enjoy tips and playing experience alongside stars Lucy Cutt, Ben Godfrey and Jack Wilson.

Comradeship
Meanwhile, during the concert a lovely touch of comradeship saw the ladies of Bradwell Silver also don the famous pink Boobs & Brass jackets to join the band for some of their items, whilst their guest Musical Director Ewan Robson and Bradwell's Brian Keech, created a concert programme that catered for all musical tastes.
A spokesperson for Bradwell Silver told 4BR: "We thank Boobs & Brass for sharing this memorable evening and wish them every success in their final fundraising year together."
