4BR recently met up with Steven Mead at the 2018 British Open Championship in Birmingham to find out more about the 2018 Bolsover International Brass Band Summer School.
Course Director
Steve will be the Course Director and he talks about his aim of broadening the scope of the event now that it has links to all corners of the banding globe.
Another level
Meanwhile, Course Administrator Carole Hirst adds that getting the Besson euphonium star to lead the Summer School was 'immense' and that it took the event 'to another level.'
The 2018 tutor team already includes the likes of Mark Wilkinson, Jonathan Bates, Shaun Crowther, Steve Jones, Rebecca Lundberg and David Hirst.
The course will run from Sunday 22nd July to Friday 27th July 2018.
