Bradwell Silver Band has linked up with support from Yamaha to offer the opportunity to enjoy free masterclass tuition from a trio of leading performers.
The event in conjunction with a concert given the same evening with the Boobs & Brass Band on 30th September will see an open invitation to all brass and percussion players aged 18 and under to come along.
Delighted
Yamaha spokesperson Natasha Homer told 4BR: "Yamaha are delighted to once again be supporting Boobs & Brass in concert especially here in Milton Keynes — the home of our UK head office. Yamaha's vision is to inspire new musical talent whilst supporting those who already play."
She added: "Taking advantage of our use of the outstanding new theatre in Milton Keynes 'The Venue MK', secured for the breast cancer charity concert, we can offer a masterclass with the outstanding brass musicians Lucy Cutt, Ben Godfrey and Jack Wilson."
Leading players
Lucy is regarded as one of the leading flugel horn players in the UK banding scene with the Fairey Band, whilst both Ben and Jack started their playing careers with Bradwell Silver.
Ben has a busy freelance career as a musician, but also fits it around his role as Musical Director for MK Youth Brass. Jack currently holds the soprano seat for the Virtuosi GUS Band is has just completed his university studies at the Royal College of Music.
The free masterclass (11.00am-1.00pm) will consist of a large ensemble, smaller groups, a question/answer session and the opportunity to receive individual advice on solo performance.
