The Leyland Band has just returned from Austria after performing at the prestigious Innsbrucker Promenadenkonzerte series.

It was the second time that the band has performed at the month long festival, with organiser, Alois Schopf, delighted to welcome them back for the first time since 2015 under the direction of Thomas Wyss.

Ornate surroundings

The band took to a special stage in the ornate surroundings of the courtyard of the Imperial Palace with a packed audience over 1500 people enjoying their performances on the night.

They were treated to an extensive set of themed music, with 25 items played, including rapturously received items from soloists Iain Culross, James McLeod, John Doyle, Chris Doran and Ben Thomas.
