Foden's players are looking forward to their annual trip across the Irish Sea to lead the tuition at the Armagh Summer School.
It will be the 17th consecutive year Foden's has been involved in an event that has provided a lasting legacy for local players and which has become an integral part of the band's burgeoning educational outreach diary.
Tutors
This year Michael Fowles, Mark Wilkinson, Richard Poole, Lesley Poole, Sarah Lenton, Mark Bousie, Shaun Farrington, Stewart Baglin and Anthony Mann will help inspire over 100 musicians of various ages and abilities that will be split into two bands (Sterling / Sovereign) conducted by Mike and Mark Bousie.
Delegates will benefit from individual lessons, sectional and full rehearsals, a tutor's treat concert and delegate's concert, as well as the not to be missed BBQ and end of course concert with guest soloist Mark Wilkinson.
Superb week
Speaking about the course Michael Fowles told 4BR: "As always we are looking forward to a superb week of great music making and fun with our friends.
A lot of thought is put into the choice of music for both bands, and this year we look forward to performing a new commission from Andrew Stevenson who is the Composer in Residence of Foden's Youth Band.'
