Distinctive

Throughout the summer school you will be supported by experienced international orchestral performers, historians and teachers of brass — and distinctive in that the quality of coaching is provided by players and teachers who have reached the highest levels of performance and education in the music industry.

For instance, Saar is an award winning French Horn player and has been a member of the Ensemble Modern since 2007. He teaches at the International Ensemble Modern Academy (IEMA) and the Academy for Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main. He will shortly join the Luzern Festival Academy horn teaching faculty.

Saar has developed collaborations with many young and established composers and has performed extensively around the world as a soloist, giving many world premieres of Horn concertos, as well as performing with leading orchestras and ensembles.
