Boobs & Brass branch out to boost figures in Wales

A new Welsh Boobs & Brass will be launched in Cardiff this weekend — featuring Cory star Helen Williams

Cory star Helen Williams will be doing her bit to support the new Welsh branch of Boobs & Brass

Cory's flugel star Helen Williams will be the star musical attraction at the launch of the Welsh brass band branch of the charity fund raising campaigners Boobs & Brass.

The announcement of another band able to help raise much needed funds comes just a week after the main Boobs & Brass Band was presented with the 2017 BBC Music Day Brass Band Award — for the band that best embodied BBC Music Day 2017 theme of 'The Power of Music'.

Launch concert

Boobs & Brass has raised well over £200,000 for different charities since their first concert, with the majority going to Breast Cancer Now.

It is hoped the new Welsh 'Boobs & Brass' will be able to boost those figures further — starting at their launch concert at St. Andrew & St. Teilo Church in Cardiff (CF24 4DX) on Saturday 24th June (7.00pm).

The band features female brass players from local bands in South Wales (although players from all over Wales are welcome in the future) and will be conducted by Lynne Turner.

Cory's star flugel performer will bring an extra dash of brilliance in a concert that will feature music for everyone's taste buds, with all the funds going to Breast Cancer Now4BR
