Free Learn to Play Day set for Sheffield

If you want to learn to play a brass or percussion instrument then get in touch with BrassEx to have a free taster session at their HQ in Sheffield this Saturday. It could be the start of a great journey...

Learn to Play
The Learn to Play Day if free — so make sure you book a taster session

A free National 'Learn to Play Day' is taking place in Sheffield this weekend, where you can go along to be given short taster sessions on various brass and percussion instruments.

BrassEx based at The Foundry Studio in Sheffield has teamed up with the charity Music for All to 'Discover the Musician within you!' on Saturday 24th June.

Come along

All you have to do is to come along and enjoy yourselves alongside music tutors who will provide short taster lessons on various brass and percussion instruments.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "In 2016, over 120 venues across the country put on events aimed at people who had never played before and people who used to play.

At BrassEx this year there will be opportunities to come on the day to try out an instrument, and if you like it, there will be members of training bands who can offer a route to continue with your musical journey too."

All you have to do is call

Lessons can be reserved in advance by calling 0114 2756565 or on the day at the 'Learn to Play Day' stand.

Entry to the event is FREE.
