An ensemble of ten talented players from Enderby Youth Band recently played their part in entertaining a 2,000 capacity full house at the De Montfort Hall in Leicester when they joined rock star Tom Chaplin, the lead singer of Keane, on his solo UK tour.

Magnificent

The players provided the brass accompaniment to two of his songs, 'Quicksand' and 'The Wave' which were received by huge cheers and a standing ovation, especially after the star described them as 'magnificent'. The songs had originally been recorded with a regimental brass band.

Tom posted a short clip of the sound check on his Instagram account, which has already been seen by his 14,000 followers. This was a fantastic opportunity for the players and something that they'll always rememberspokesperson

Thrill

A band spokesperson told 4BR "It was a real thrill for the youngsters to be the first brass band to play the songs live with Tom. Tom posted a short clip of the sound check on his Instagram account, which has already been seen by his 14,000 followers.

This was a fantastic opportunity for the players and something that they'll always remember."
