An innovative sponsorship link helps Carlton Main Frickley keep in the best of long term health.

Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band is celebrating a sponsorship partnership that Benjamin Franklin would certainly approve of thanks to an innovative link to a new funeral home opened by proprietors A N Abraham.

With a new branch recently opened in Hemsworth as well as at the band's home base of South Elmsall, a recent highly successful campaign highlighting the benefits of having a tax efficient funeral plan has meant that the Yorkshire band has benefitted to the tune over £2,000.

Three year agreement

A N Abraham have sponsored the band for the last two years as part of a three-year agreement following their Yorkshire Regional Championship success in 2015.

That valuable support has also helped them compete at major championship events and in maintaining their position as one of the UKs leading top flight bands.

We are delighted to receive this boost and greatly appreciate the generous yearly sponsorship, which for a community band like Carlton Main is a financial lifelineRay Sykes, Carlton Main Frickley

Appreciated

Band spokesman Ray Sykes told 4BR: "We are delighted to receive this boost and greatly appreciate the generous yearly sponsorship, which for a community band like Carlton Main is a financial lifeline. This enables the band compete at the highest level and helps retain our proud link with our local community."

Brett Benton, local Funeral Director for A N Abraham added: "It's great to help a local cause and the Christmas concert the band provided last year was superb. We are glad to be able to support our local communities in this way."

The band received a cheque for £2,050 from Brett and the team at the recent official opening of the new Hemsworth branch.
