Pershore set to welcome bands

The annual Pershore Midsummer Brass festival will see the picturesque Worcestershire town once more filled with the sound of brass.

Pershore
There is plenty of great music to enjoy at the Pershore Festival this year — and great value for money for 12 hours of brass entertainment.

Pershore Midsummer Brass 2017 will take place in venues throughout the picturesque Worcestershire market town on Saturday 1st July.

The popular annual event attracts both bands and visitors from all over the Midlands and beyond, with this year's line-up featuring talented ensembles from Gloucestershire, Staffordshire and Wales playing alongside Worcestershire's home grown talent.

12 hours of music

The event starts at 10.00am with a fanfare from the top of the Abbey Tower, and ends some 12 hours later with performances in the grandeur of the Abbey and in the open air of a special marquee at the Angel Inn.

Throughout the day there will be a number of bands performing in Chapman Court as well as the intimate setting of Pershore Baptist Church.

Cheap tickets

Pershore Midsummer Brass Chairman, John West told 4BR: "As always we hope to encourage as many people to the festival. With reduced ticket prices funded in part by a successful concert with Bretforton Silver Band and concert pianist Marcel Zidani, it means fantastic value for money for a full day of great brass band entertainment."

Bands playing on the day range from school groups to national competition winners — from the likes of Bret Set and Go and other local bands such as Avonbank Brass to Championship level Staffordshire, Tongwynlais Temperance and Jaguar Land Rover.

The event takes place on Saturday 1st July. Entrance is just £7.50 and tickets are available on the door on the day or in advance from BLUE, in Broad Street, Pershore.

The event starts at 10.00am with a fanfare from the top of the Abbey Tower, and ends some 12 hours later with performances in the grandeur of the Abbey and in the open air of a special marquee at the Angel Inn4BR
