The decision to change the corporate colours of the UK-wide Co-operative Group has meant a speedy bit of work for Centre Stage Uniforms.
The huge retail company has decided to revert back to its traditional turquoise colour branding, last seen in the 1970s, when just about every town in Britain had a local 'Co-op' on the high street — and that has meant that the brass bands it supports will have to reflect the new changes too.
Centre Stage Uniforms were approached with the remit, and with the task of ensuring that Co-operative Funeralcare (North West) Band would be able to perform at the Grand Shield contest in Blackpool this weekend sporting their new stage jacket livery.
Great thing
Musical Director, Jef Sparkes told 4BR: "Centre Stage was contacted in March with the request that we needed them for the Grand Shield. The great thing about dealing with Centre Stage is that if they promise a delivery date, then it's met.
That's why Centre Stage is the number one choice for bands everywhere now. Needless to say the quality and finish were perfect and exactly what we requested.
We took delivery of fantastic new softshell jackets in April and we are delighted with those too. We fully recommend any band to use Centre Stage to meet their requirements."

Worldwide brand
Centre Stage Managing Director, Martin Gernon responded by stating: "We are delighted to work alongside the band to produce outstanding results.
The Co-op is a worldwide brand and this meant that they required a world class product to showcase their support for their brass bands. We are delighted to have done that and wish all our customers the very best of luck."
Centre Stage Uniforms will be at the Winter Gardens with a tradestand this weekend.
