Misa Mead has become a Denis Wick Artist.

Denis Wick Products has announced that Misa Mead is to become a Denis Wick Artist.

The internationally renowned euphonium soloist has performed around the world, with a Denis Wick spokesperson telling 4BR: "Misa has long favoured Denis Wick mouthpieces (she performs on a SM Ultra 4X) and is already a wonderful advocate for them. Her solo career has really taken off in recent years and we look forward to working closely with her in the future."

Accolades

Since graduating from Tokyo College of Music in 2008, Misa has won many international accolades, including the unanimous Gold Medal at the European Competition for Young Soloists in Luxembourg 2011, and many awards in her native Japan.

She has appeared at Tubamania Festivals in Thailand and at the South West Region Tuba Euphonium Conference (SWRTEC). Her debut CD 'Journey', was released to critical acclaim and she has also developed a successful career as a freelance composer and orchestrator.

Tours

As well as other performing commitments, Misa will be appearing from the 7th to 10th June at the International Women's Brass Conference, New Jersey, and from the 17th to 23rd August in solo concerts in China. She will also be touring the USA later this year with her husband Steven.
