4BR has been informed that there are still some places up for grabs for the popular 11th Morley & District Lions March & Hymn Tune Contest, that will be held in the West Yorkshire town on Sunday 18th June.
Traditional format
The event will be adjudicated by Kevin Wadsworth and Sarah Groarke — Booth and helps raise funds for the Lions Charities. It will comprise a road march followed by three verses of a hymn tune before concluding with a contest march.
The contest is open to all bands from Championship to Youth Section, with all music to be played chosen by the bands themselves as they battle for part of a total prize fund of £2,000, with a first prize of £600 for the overall winner.
