Kiri Sheppard has been appointed as the new Musical Director of Test Valley Youth Band.

Test Valley Brass has announced the appointment of Kiri Sheppard as its new Youth Band Musical Director.

The secondary school music teacher brings a wealth of musical experience to the band, including her talents as a Northumbrian piper.

They have so much potential to continue developing as musicians and hopefully I can help them to achieve thisKiri Sheppard

The former principal flugel of the Hampshire County Youth Band told 4BR: "I love helping children to develop a passion for music and I've already enjoyed my time so far working with the band.
