There was one set of results that brokered no late night disgruntled debate following the Yorkshire Regional Championships in Huddersfield last weekend.
It came with the announcement that 218 people had signed up the 'Swab for Sykes' campaign with the DKMS Blood Cancer over the two days — making a total close on 400 since the launch at the North West Regional Championship in Blackpool the week before.
Generous
Gordon Eddison, who co-ordinated the team of volunteers at Huddersfield told 4BR: "I'm so pleased we have had so many generous people who have shown they really care for Stephen and others.
Members of the West Yorkshire Police, Dodworth (above) and Maltby Miners Bands all signed up 'en-bloc'."
Meanwhile, David W Ashworth (also above), from the Association of Brass Band Adjudicators represented the organisation on the stand for a time on Sunday to show their support for the cause.

Swabs
All those who registered will soon be receiving a swab kits to collect a simple mouth swab to be entered on the National Donor Registry.
The campaign continues this week the Midlands and West of England Championships, where it is hoped Stephen will be able to attend.
