World Championship judges announced

The judges who will take the all important decisions at the forthcoming World Music Contest in Kerkrade have been announced.

  Manger Musikklag will return to defend its title in Kerkrade

4BR has been informed that 35 bands will compete at this year's World Music Contest in Kerkrade.

It is the 18th time that the WMC has taken place in the Dutch town, with Manger Musikklag from Norway hoping to successfully defend the title it won four years ago.

Details of all the competing bands will be released in due course, but the organisers have released the names of the adjudicators.

February 20 • Reading Band still needs LOWER BRASS for the 4th section contest at Stevenage on Saturday 15th March! Rehearsals in Woodley (RG5) on Thursday evenings.


Boarshurst Silver Band

February 17 • Boarshurst Silver Band, NW Championship Section, requires a BBb player, flugel, and front row cornet player. Under MD Jamie Prophet, the band have an ambitious and varied calendar for 2025, including NW Area, Spring Festival and Whit Friday.


Mid Rhondda Band
