Raf Van Looveren becomes new principal at Noordlimburgse

Brass Band Noordlimburgse adds star addition to their cornet ranks with the signing of Raf Van Looveren.

  The brilliant Belgian cornet player takes over the top seat at Brass Band Noordlimburgse.

Brass Band Noordlimburgse has announced that following the recent appointment of Erik Van Der Kolk as their new MD the Belgian band has also secured the services of former Brass Band Willebroek star Raf Van Looveren as their new principal cornet.

New principal

The Sterling Instruments artist and member of the critically acclaimed Cosy Brass Quartet and the Orchestra of the Belgian Guides, takes over the role from Pieter Houben, who has decided after a 10 year reign to take on the flugel horn position in the band.

He in turn replaces Bram Rutten, who after a decade of in the role will become part of a very strong back row cornet section.
