New name for former French leaders

The former French National Champion Brass Band Nord-Pas de Calais will now be known as Hauts-de-France Brass Band to reflect the the political changes in their region.

France
A new name for a former French leader as Hauts-de-France Brass Band comes of age.

Former French National Champion Brass Band Nord-Pas de Calais has officially changed its name — and will now be known as the Hauts-de-France Brass Band.

Re-organisation

The decision follows the political re-organisation of many regions of France, as a spokesperson Olivier Lecluse told 4BR:

"In 2016, the Nord Pas-de-Calais region changed its name and became the Hauts-de-France region.

As the band is very attached to the area and its values, we have decided to follow this change and to coincide with the first anniversary of the new region and on the occasion of our 25th anniversary soon to be upon us, we are delighted to now represent it as the Hauts-de-France Brass Band."

As the band is very attached to the area and its values, we have decided to follow this changespokesperson

First appearance

The band will appear under its new name under the baton of our MD Luc Vertommen at the French National Championships in Lyon later this month.
