The Association of Brass Band Adjudicators (AoBBA) has announced that they are once again to run a 'Young Adjudicators Scheme' initiative with the Yorkshire Regional Committee at the forthcoming Yorkshire Regional Championships in Huddersfield.
Fourth Section judges
The fledgling judges will be mentored by AoBBA Executive member Nicholas Garman, and will make their adjudications on the performances of Alan Fernie's 'St Andrew's Variations' in the Fourth Section on Saturday 4th March.
The youngsters will be provided with seating in front of official adjudicator's box in the stalls, a score, remarks sheets and results form, whilst they will also meet with the official adjudicators Mareika Gray and Sandy Smith.

In addition, they will also be provided with tickets along with their parents or guardians for the First Section event that takes place later in the afternoon and a CD recording of their choice of winning band. Refreshments will also be provided.
