Judges to host Test Piece workshop

If you want to gain some essential insight into the works being used in the Second, Third and Fourth Section at the Areas this year, then make sure you get to the AoBBA workshop later this month.

  The sessions aim to give essential insight into the works used in Sections 2, 3 and 4.

The Association of Brass Band Adjudicators (AoBBA) will host their 2017 Regional Test Piece Workshop on Sunday January 22nd.

Time and place

The event, starting at 1.30pm, will feature Unite the Union Band, and will be held at Bailiff Bridge Community Centre, 1 Victoria Road, Bailiff Bridge, Brighouse (HD6 4DX). It aims to provide extensive insight into the works that will challenge the competitors in Sections Two, Three and Four.

Exploring

Doors open at 1.00pm to all band members, conductors and interested parties, and aims to provide extensive insight into the works that will challenge the competitors in Sections Two, Three and Four.

There will be ample opportunity to discuss the various works in detail as well as exploring aspects of their contest preparation.

Presenters

The presenters are Nick Garman ('Rhapsody in Brass'), David Hirst ('Darkwood') and Alan Duguid ('St Andrew's Variations') whilst Simone Rebello will also be on hand to give advice on percussion requirements and relevant percussion performance practice.
