The popular internet World of Brass radio programme, hosted by John Maines will celebrate its 10th anniversary this Christmas.

The first programme was broadcast on the 22nd December 2006 and it has since gone on to provide brass band pleasure to thousands of listeners all round the world — thanks in great part to John's encyclopedic knowledge of banding repertoire!

The programme continues to go from strength to strength and can be heard 24/7 on www.worldofbrassradio.com or by clicking the radio icon on the main World of Brass website at: www.worldofbrass.com

The Marple Band

March 13 • Cornet ( positions negotiable),baritone and kit percussionist vacancies to join our fabulous band. We are a friendly ambitious 2nd Section band, starting an exciting new musical journey with our MD Nick Birch.

March 12 • Back Row Cornet - due to a change in job, the band has a vacancy for a back row cornet. The band has a lovely atmosphere, and has regular jobs throughout the year as well as taking part in at least two contests.
