Wonderful year

Deiniolen Youth MD, Osian Tomos told 4BR: "It's been a wonderful year. We've had great success in all contests and we're looking forward to building on this in 2017.

We have a very good set-up with our Junior Band developing players from a very early age and are looking forward to introducing new contests next year in order to give the youngsters more valuable and exciting new experiences."

Thanks

He added: "I would like to thank all the youngsters for their hard work and dedication, and all the parents for their support and also to everyone who assists with the band throughout the year."

Recently the band gave their annual Christmas concert, where awards went to Morgan Gwyn Williams, Iwan Griffith and Prys Hughes. At the concert the Iwan Williams Scholarship for 2017 was presented to the principal cornet player, Ela Haf Williams.
