The Longridge Band has announced a number of new signings as they start preparing for life back in the Championship Section in 2017.
The North West outfit has secured the services of Bethany Moore as their new principal cornet, with Tim Dines filling the solo euphonium role. In addition, James Kenny comes in on EEb tuba and Grace Newby fills the vacant first horn seat.
Talent and potential
Longridge MD Mark Peacock, told 4BR: "I've been aware of Beth's talent and potential for many years. At Hepworth she did a wonderful job on solo cornet and latterly on repiano, so we are thrilled to welcome her as our new principal cornet.
He added: "Tim has so much experience and is keen to get back into top class banding after taking a career break. It's great to have him join us. James is a cracking player of proven ability and Grace is a wonderful young player with such a bright future ahead of her."
