Yorkshire Imperial Urquhart Travel Band has announced the appointment of Leisa Mallalieu-Ingman as their new principal cornet.
Footsteps
Leisa follows in the footsteps of a long line of distinguished holders of the role — going back to the days of Graham Walker, Alan Exely, Phillip Denton and more recently Alan Fowler.
Alan will now move onto 'bumper-up' to support Leisa, who joins from fellow Yorkshire band Old Silkstone.

Really excited
Lisa told 4BR: "I'm really excited about this opportunity. Imps is a terrific sounding band and I'm looking forward to preparations for the Butlins Mineworkers Contest and beyond that working with Russell Gray for the Yorkshire Area contest."
Leisa's first appearance with the band will be at their Christmas Concert on the 3rd December at Christ Church in Ossett.
