Yorkshire Imperial Urquhart Travel Band has announced the appointment of Leisa Mallalieu-Ingman as their new principal cornet.

Footsteps

Leisa follows in the footsteps of a long line of distinguished holders of the role — going back to the days of Graham Walker, Alan Exely, Phillip Denton and more recently Alan Fowler.

Alan will now move onto 'bumper-up' to support Leisa, who joins from fellow Yorkshire band Old Silkstone.

Imps is a terrific sounding band and I'm looking forward to preparations for the Butlins Mineworkers Contest and beyond that working with Russell Gray for the Yorkshire Area contestLeisa Mallalieu-Ingman

Leisa's first appearance with the band will be at their Christmas Concert on the 3rd December at Christ Church in Ossett.
