Percussion return gives Derwent extra bang

The return of percussionist Lee Gilbert has given Derwent Brass a timely boost.

Derwent Brass has announced the signing of Lee Gilbert to their percussion section.

Studies

Lee returns to the band following an enjoyable time playing with Staffordshire Band whilst completing studies at Stafford University. He first joined Derwent Brass in 2011 and was an integral part of the section for three years.

Lee is a talented player and alongside existing members Ross, Elliot and Stephen I'm confident we will have a great sectionMD, Keith Leonard

Musical Director, Keith Leonard told 4BR: "Lee has many friends here at Derwent Brass and we are pleased to welcome him back. Increasingly with modern works, the demands on the percussion section are high and you need a strong team.
