The Lindley Band has welcomed some new faces to its ranks ahead of the popular Yorkshire & Humberside Association contest in November.
Experience
The experienced duo of Paul Harris and Andy Carr join the back row cornet line, taking over from Tom Slywkanycz who left for university and Paul Harrison who after many years has sought new challenges.
Also joining on solo horn is Rachael Johnson, who takes over from Jennie Worrall who left after 12 months due to increased college work and the travel to rehearsals. Rachael joins having played for Thoresby, YBS and most recently at Honley.
Like most brass bands in our area we still have a few empty chairs to fill, but with these new arrivals we are preparing well for the last part of the yearBand spokepserson.

Commenting on the arrivals a band spokesperson told 4BR: "Like most brass bands in our area we still have a few empty chairs to fill, but with these new arrivals we are preparing well for the last part of the year.
