The latest Band Supplies — 4barsrest.com World Rankings have few positional changes at the very top following the recent British Open Championships, but Cory's victory sees the Welsh giant consolidate its position to the point where a tenth successive end-of-year number one spot is assured.
Brass Band Willebroek's excellent showing sees the multiple Belgian and European champion move back into the top ten. There were also significant moves for the successful bands at the National Finals in Cheltenham and the next update in November will, of course, include the result of the National Final in London.
The other contests taking place since the last update were:
Victoria State Championships — won by Darebin City Brass;
Land O' Burns — won by Co-operative Funeralcare;
Exmouth Festival of Brass — won by South West Communications;
Dr. Martin Wainstones Cup — won by Co-operative Funeralcare;
Hardraw Scar — won by Elland Silver;
