Bands join forces for charity fund boost

The joint forces of Stour Concert Brass and Avonbank recently came together to provide support for the Tracey Sollis Trust.

The talented Luke Barker was one of the featured soloists for the charity event.

Stour Concert Brass, the community band which is part of the Shipston Town Band organisation, recently joined forces with their friends from Avonbank Band from Evesham for a successful concert at Bengeworth Church in Evesham.

The event was in aid of the Tracey Sollis Trust which supports Leukemia Research with its facility at the Royal Free Hospital in London.

Soloists

The bands played separate sets plus four massed items featuring soloists including Stour Concert's young principal cornet Luke Barker (above) and Avonbank's Steve Lane.

A sum of £400 was raised for the charity's funds.
