Pemberton Old JJB Wigan Band has announced the signing of Nick Giles as their new solo euphonium.

A former cornet player with Norwich Citadel Salvation Army, he moved to euphonium and continued to progress through their young peoples and the senior bands.

Opportunities

Since studying at the RNCM in Manchester, Nick has enjoyed numerous opportunities playing for various bands at contests. He is currently a peripatetic teacher for Trafford Music Service, teaching brass to primary school children.

He becomes the latest in a string of new additions at Pemberton, and we're looking forward to the coming months with a lot of new faces and talented individuals around the standsBand spokesperson
