Youngsters from the Midlands area will be able to enjoy a wonderful opportunity to work with some of the banding world's leading performers next month when Enderby Youth and Junior Bands host a weekend of training with members of Yamaha's renowned Neo Brass Ensemble.
Funding
Yamaha has generously provided significant funding to cover the tuition costs of their team at Lutterworth College on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September.
Each day will begin at 9.15am and finish around 5.00pm.
Stars
Russell Gray will lead the event, and will be assisted by flugel star Lucy Cutt, euphonium virtuoso Steve Walsh and tuba legend Simon Gresswell. Ryan Richards, one of the rising trombone stars of British banding, will lead the trombones, whilst members of the Enderby organisation will support the Yamaha tutors to ensure all delegates will feel welcome.
The participants will be divided into two bands:
A Junior Band for players from beginner standard up to Grade 2 standard.
A Main Band for players of Grade 3 standard and above.
Rehearsals and sectionals
The weekend will be a mixture of full band rehearsals and sectionals, with regular breaks to enable the players to socialise.
The course will conclude with a mini concert 'play-through' on the Sunday afternoon of the music learned by both bands on to which parents and friends are warmly invited.

Cost
The cost of the whole weekend is only £10.
