Blaenavon Town Band will be increasing their Church representation with their new signing on solo horn.

Blaenavon Town Band has welcomed the signing on Krishan Church on solo horn.

Krishan has previously played with a number of bands, including Newbridge, Pennine Brass and Drighlinton, and will come to the south Wales outfit in time for their next contest appearance at the Welsh League competition in Fishguard in September.

Family link

Krishnan joins his brother Kale and sister Azhiamari who are already key members of the band.

He told 4BR: "I'm proud to be joining such a well organised and dedicated outfit."

It's a huge boost to have Krishan in the band. He has helped us out on a number of occasions over the past few years, so it's great to have him backChairperson Lucinda Gough
