The Fairey Band has sent out another indication of its 2016 major title winning intent with the news that EEb tuba star Gavin Saynor will return to the Stockport outfit for their forthcoming assaults on the British Open and National Championship of Great Britain.

Gavin has only just returned to playing following a serious road accident in July 2015, and told 4BR that he is delighted to be back in the Fairey ranks again.

Exciting

"I wanted to return to the very top as soon as possible. I'm delighted to be re-joining Fairey and teaming up with Garry Cutt.

The band has such an exciting blend of young players and experienced soloists and is in tremendous form. All our expectations are high for the coming few months and more."

Delighted

MD, Garry Cutt is also delighted to see a familiar face back in the band. "It's fantastic to have Gavin back. His dedication and commitment is undeniable. He still suffers discomfort when travelling after his dreadful accident, but nonetheless makes the long journey for each rehearsal.

He is a superb bandsman and player — and it has given the band such a boost to see him back."
