New memories to be created by home change for Pemberton Old

Pemberton Old Wigan DW Band hope to create many new memories as they move to a new home after half a century.

Pemberton Old Wigan DW Band will take up residence in their new rehearsal home this month after 50 years of residency came to an end at their old facility in Greater Manchester.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Within the walls of our much loved Tunstall Lane home (above), many a success was celebrated and many a poor result drunk away. We've seen the band at its lowest ebbs, brought back from the point of extinction to the thriving organisation that it has become today."

New home

Now the band will move home to the Mount Zion Church not far away in Enfield Street, Pemberton.

The spokesperson added: "We look forward to creating many more memories in our new home!"
