The joint forces of Smithills School and Eagley Bands recently joined forces with Smithills Community Choir to raise much needed funds for the Derian House Children's Hospice.
Packed
The packed concert in Bolton Parish Church on the weekend (above) has already raised more than £1300, with more to come in. Music featured included 'Knight Templar', 'Riverdance', 'Locus Iste', 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'MacArthur Park', 'Benedictus', 'Deep Harmony' and many more audience favourites.

Pleasure
Smithills MD Chris Wormald told 4BR: "It was a pleasure to join up with Eagley and their MD Matt Ryan — as not only was Matt a former Smithills musician, a large number of Eagley's members are also current and former Smithills players. The charity is a particularly special one to many of us."
The concert was the final Smithills performance before travelling to Ireland on Wednesday to play three concerts in Cork.
